Drupal 8: How to update the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Module manually

  1. Go to Administrator Control Panel —> Manage —> Extend —> Uninstall, choose the module "Antispam by CleanTalk" and press the button "Uninstall". Confirm the uninstalling by pressing "Uninstall" again on the next page.
  2. Delete the folder "cleantalk" in "<Drupal-root-folder>/modules".
  3. Download the plugin archive from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally).
  4. Go to Extend —> List and press the button "+Install new module".
  5. Choose the downloaded CleanTalk archive, then press the button "Install".
  6. After the process of installation press the line "Enable newly added modules".
  7. In the "CLEANTALK" category of the module list tick the checkbox near the "Antispam by CleanTalk" line and press the button "Install".
  8. When you enable the module, the string "Configure" appears in the module's description. Click it.
  9. Make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Control Panel.
  10. (Optional) Test the protection by making a registration using the blacklisted e-mail stop_email@example.com.

 

Congratulations. The Anti-Spam is updated!

3. Download the plugin archive from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally), place it in "<Drupal-root-folder>/modules".

4. Go to Extend —> List and press the button "+Install new module".

 

5. Choose the downloaded CleanTalk archive, then press the button "Install".

 

6. After the process of installation press the line "Enable newly added modules".

 

7. In the "CLEANTALK" category of the module list tick the checkbox near the "Antispam by CleanTalk" line and press the button "Install".

 

8. When you enable the module, go to Configuration -> Content Authoring. Click it.

 

9. Make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Control Panel.
