IPS Community Suite 4: How to update the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Plugin

 

Text version

  1. Go to IPS 4 Administrator Panel —> System —> Plugins —> Pop-down menu in the row with CleanTalk —> Uninstall. Confirm the uninstall.
  2. Download the xml-file (Right Mouse Button — "Save object as...") from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally), place it in "<IPS4-root-folder>/plugins".
  3. Go back to System —> Plugins and press the button "Install New Plugin".
  4. Choose the downloaded xml-file from "<IPS4-root-folder>/plugins", press the button "Install".
  5. After finishing the installation click the pencil symbol opposite the "CleanTalk Spam protect" line.
  6. Setup the plugin, make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Control Panel. Then press the button "Save".
  7. (Optional) Test the protection by making a registration using the blacklisted e-mail stop_email@example.com.

 

Congratulations. The Anti-Spam is updated!

2. Download the xml-file (Right Mouse Button — "Save object as...") from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally), place it in "<IPS4-root-folder>/plugins".

3. Go back to System —> Plugins and press the button "Install New Plugin".

 

4. Choose the downloaded xml-file from "<IPS4-root-folder>/plugins", press the button "Install".

 

5. After finishing the installation click the pencil symbol opposite the "CleanTalk Spam protect" line.

 

6. Setup the plugin, make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Control Panel. Then press the button "Save".

 

 

Congratulations. The Anti-Spam is updated!
