On 30 Nov 2021 at 16:10:33 -0800 (PST), an insidious spammer abusing a JSC ER-Telecom Holding customer's email source IP address 188.186.238.207 sent an unsolicited email with an embedded encrypted phishing PDF with a password to avoid discovery by email servers' spam, phishing, and malware detectors. The decrypted PDF contained one URL to content hidden at 162.0.209.77 (invitesecure.co). That webpage titled "Are you human?" required selecting one of four answers to a simple addition equation to proceed. Correctly answering leads to another phishing page hidden on 162.0.209.77 (invitesecure.co), spoofing four ambulance chaser legal scams to fraudulently capture sensitive information. This was the thirteenth unsolicited email received using this same covert means to advertise college grant fraud schemes, fake job recruiters, various other ambulance chaser legal swindles, and get rich quick schemes.
