How to Install the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Extension in phpBB 3.1, 3.2, 3.3

1. Back up your forum files and database.

2. Download the CleanTalk Anti-Spam extension archive from here. You can also click the direct link at the top of the page to download the latest archive immediately.

3. Upload the downloaded archive to the /ext directory and extract it there. This will create a new folder: /ext/cleantalk.

4. Log in to your phpBB Administration Control Panel (ACP) and navigate to CUSTOMISE. Refresh the page. Locate "Anti-Spam by CleanTalk" under the "Disabled Extensions" list and click Enable.

5. Click Confirm on the next page to finish enabling the extension.

6. Once enabled, refresh the page to complete the setup.

7. Navigate to EXTENSIONS → ANTI-SPAM BY CLEANTALK → Spam protection settings. Enter your Access Key from your CleanTalk Dashboard into the Access key field, adjust your settings if needed, and click Submit.

Do a test registration or post a test comment using the blacklisted e-mail stop_email@example.com.

To test SpamFireWall, do the following:

1. Open an incognito window in your web browser.
2. Visit https://yourdomain.com/?sfw_test_ip=10.10.10.10 (replace https://yourdomain.com with your actual domain).

As a result, you will receive the SpamFireWall blocking page.
