vBulletin 4: How to update the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Product

  1. Make backup copies of your forum files and database.
  2. Go to vBulletin Administrator Panel —> Plugins & Products —> Manage Products —> find the row with "Anti-spam by CleanTalk" and choose "Uninstall" in the pop-down menu.
  3. Confirm deletion by pressing the button "Yes" on the next page.
  4. After successful deletion click the string [Add/Import Product].
  5. Download the product archive from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally), unzip the xml-file from the archive to "/includes/xml".
  6. Go back to the Import Product page, choose the CleanTalk xml-file from the folder "/includes/xml" and press the button "Import".
  7. After importing go to Settings —> Options — find and select "Anti-spam by CleanTalk" in the list —> Edit Settings.
  8. Setup the Anti-Spam product, make sure that the access key matches the key from your CleanTalk Dashboard. Then press the button "Save".
  9. (Optional) Test the protection by making a registration using the blacklisted e-mail stop_email@example.com.

 

Congratulations. The Anti-Spam is updated!
